Celebrating the Remarkable Impact of Rajumoni Rabha in Child Welfare and Social Work




Rajumoni Rabha, a resident of Jagirod town in Morigaon district of Assam, has been honored with the Sanskriti Seva Puraskar 2024 award by the Veyil Foundation.


As an assistant teacher at Bapuji High School, he has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to child welfare and social work. Not only is he a renowned teacher, but he is also a poet, writer, painter, storyteller, child worker, social worker, and a strong advocate for the national language Hindi.


He is the esteemed founder and director of the Gurukul Fine Arts Academy, which has gained recognition not only in Assam but throughout India.

Throughout his life, Rajumoni Rabha has dedicated himself to the fields of art, children, and education. With almost 20 years of service in teaching, he has achieved numerous accomplishments and made a significant impact on society. Through his Gurukul Academy, he has provided countless students with opportunities to progress in life.


Furthermore, Rajumani Rabha has actively contributed to the promotion of Hindi as the national language in the North-East region of India for the past 16 years. His involvement with the Assam Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti as a Hindi campaigner led to him being honored with the Hindi Sevak Award in 2012.


Rabha has also showcased his literary talents by writing stories, dramas, and poems specifically for children. He has translated numerous books from Assamese to Hindi and authored two poetry books titled 'Nisangata' and 'Srishtishilata'. Additionally, he has played a crucial role in the creation of an Assamese-Hindi dictionary and worked as a proofreader for various presses.


Through the Gurukul Academy, Rajumoni Rabha organizes various programs such as painting, dance, and drama, involving students from all across Assam.

His remarkable contributions have earned him several accolades, including the "Yuva Prerna Award," "Jatir Abhiman Award," Hindi Sevak Award, and "Shishu Bandhu" award.

The Gurukul Academy, established by Rajumoni Rabha, has also been honored with the "Adarsha Shishu Anushthan" Award in Morigaon district. Furthermore, he has successfully established the "Gurukul Dance Academy," "Gurukul Library," and Gurukul Art Gallery. The list of his achievements is extensive,
