Dr. Vijay Hiraman Kokane, a prominent figure from Maharashtra State in India, has been recognized for his outstanding leadership and contribution to society. He has been awarded the prestigious Rashtra Ratna Puraskar 2024 by the esteemed Veyil Foundation. Over the past 16 years, Dr. Kokane has dedicated himself to improving the lives of more than 100,000 individuals.


He has served as the Director of Jan Shikshan Sansthan in Raigad, Maharashtra, as well as the Project Manager in Gauri Samajik, Kalayankari Sanstha, and the Welfare Officer in Vidi Kamagar Kalyan, Pratishthan. Dr. Kokane's unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have earned him two Doctorates in Philosophy, one in Social Work and the other in Fine Arts with a specialization in Warli Painting.


Through his expertise, he has significantly contributed to the advancement of our economy and society, imparting valuable skills and creating opportunities for the unemployed. Moreover, his passion for knowledge and sharing wisdom has led him to publish six insightful books, which unravel the secrets to personal and societal success. His exceptional contributions have garnered him more than 50 accolades and commendations at the state, national, and international levels. Social workers like Dr. Vijay Hiraman Kokane are true champions of compassion and empathy.


Their dedication to caring for others is unparalleled, driven solely by their genuine concern for the welfare of individuals, even those unknown to them. During his college years, Vijay Hiraman Kokane actively engaged in various government schemes and NGOs, showcasing his deep commitment to social causes. In 2008, he served as a Project Manager for the Sickle Cell Disease Prevention & Control Program, a national initiative aimed at combating the disease's impact. Additionally, he lent his philanthropic spirit as a dedicated volunteer at Asha Kiran Manav Vikas Sanstha, where he played a pivotal role in a community development project in Panvel Taluka, located in Maharashtra's Raigad District
