Pravat Das, hailing from the state of West Bengal, has been honored with the prestigious Rabindra Ratna Puraskar 2024 award by the esteemed Veyil Foundation. His journey through life has been shaped by the unwavering dedication of his mother, Ma Janani, in the absence of his father. Despite facing the challenges of losing a parent at a young age, Pravat Das has emerged as a beacon of resilience and determination. His story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the ability to overcome adversity.
Having completed his Post Graduate Degree from the Central Govt South Eastern Railway Headquarter in Garden Reach, Kolkata, Pravat Das has dedicated over three decades of his life to his service. As he approaches the threshold of retirement, he reflects on the highs and lows of his journey. Throughout his career, his passion for literature has remained a constant source of inspiration, driving him to explore new horizons and seek fulfillment in his pursuits. Despite facing personal loss with the passing of his mother in December 2021, Pravat Das found solace in the publication of his two books, "Anubhav" and "Anurag", which feature essays, short stories, and poems.
